The second leg of fixtures for this season starts this Saturday with Chiang Mai playing host to Singburi Fc at the 700 years stadium.
Chiang Mai’s last game against Phrae United was abandoned after 52 minutes after a torrential downpour at half time, which was a pity as it was a very decent first with both sides showing why they are at the top of the table this season. but for once in Thailand a referee used his brain and abandoned the game before it became a farce like a lot of the games turned into last season.
The travelling team this week hosted Chiang Mai on the first game of the season, with Chiang Mai throwing away a 2 goal lead to finish the game 2-2. however things have turn worse for the away side nicknamed Bangrajan Warriors, they are on a 5 game losing streak at the end of the first leg of fixtures leaving them in 15th and only 3 points away from the bottom three.
Chiang Mai will be hoping to extend their lead at the top of the league and hope to use the bad run of Singburi to their advantage.
As usual entrance to the game ranges from 30thb – 80thb and refreshments and merchandise will be available outside the game.
A group of Chiang Mai Fans usually meet in The Red Lion in town for a few beers and a meal with alot of banter flying around. They usually meet around 4pm and set off to the ground at 5:15.
The Kick Off is Scheduled at 6pm.
