Chiang Mai FC really had their work cut out for them hen they played host to Phitsanulok FC on Saturday. The match had everything, thunder, lightning, heavy rain, power cuts and even a couple of goals. Phitsanulok opened the scoring by taking advantage of what appeared to be a defending mistake and scored a good goal to open a lead. chiang Mai held in and managed to score an equaliser just before half time though. The second half was interrupted by power cuts causing the flood lights to fail and towards the end of the game this appeared to cause too much frustration to one of the Phitsanulok officials who appeared to be ranting and raving at officials to call the game to an early end. This was all to no avail and he was escorted from the pitch side.

This Sunday Chiang Mai FC play an away game at Nan FC.  Chiang Mai are still currently unbeaten in the league and will be looking to continue this form. Nan are currently in 8th position in the league having won three, drawn three and lost two so far in the season. The Tigers have won five and drawn three and this means we now share top spot with Phrae Utd. who had a 2-0 win against Singburi Fc to go joint top with us.

This week the game is played at Technology Ratchamongkol Lanna University Stadium in Nan.

Kick off is at 16:00

One Response so far.
