Following the rumours that have been circulating this week regarding Rene Desaeyere and the mutual decision between him and the club to end the coaching contract after under 4 months, managed to get a brief interview with the former coach to ask him his plans for the future, he was unable to comment on the full details on his departure as coach as formallities were still being sorted.

In the interview Rene stated that he was going to go back to Europe for the foreseeable future to get his thoughts back, he is not sure yet if the Chiang Mai role will be his last in Football as he says he is getting to an age where it would be nice to just relax each day.

When asked if he had any message for the Chiang Mai fans his words were as follows ” I would like to thank the fans of Chiang Mai for the support of myself from minute one, to stand in front of you all during the games has been an honour and something I will never forget, you are a very strong and passionate support. Sorry it has not worked out on this occassion between myself and Chiang Mai. But I would like to wish the team, fans and staff good luck for the coming season and many more to come, starting with the game in Phuket I hope the team can get the victories they deserve for the hard work they perform each week”. would like to wish Mr. Desaeyere good luck in the future and also thank him for the interview that he gave us for this article.

Chiangmai FC make a big mistake to let go Rene and with this team they not go win any prices.
The team and the most players this season are only a shadow from the team from last year.
Why the management not keep the team together and only them are to blame for that mistake.

  2. Brendon, ( Australia) says:

So sorry to hear you have left Rene. I met you a month ago at the Red Lion and was really impressed by your wise words and charisma.

Not sure what happened, but all the best for the future.

Melbourne Victory are looking for a manager, Eddie Krenchavic, your old mate is in the mix.

    Why dont you apply?

Anyway, thanks again for being so approachable and down to earth when we met.

Kind regards, Brendon and Dao, Melbourne
